Thanks to the efforts of Frank and Jean Davio the walking path is now open. There is more work to do so don't wear your Sunday best while exploring the trail and, completely forget about wearing those brand new white tennis shoes. But you can walk from Parker Road to Monette Place without having to wade the ditches and brooks. Frank and Jean worked most of the week of 8/21/00 carrying in the materials, building 5 bridges, clearing and marking the path and surviving a close encounter with a very large bear.
